ON INEXHAUSTIBILITY (2018) 14x22cm, 88 pages

A collection of fragments and small essays, together forming an artistic and personal examination of ways to cope with a continuous stream of information and stimuli. It explores different methods of categorization of spatial systems and contemporary external stimuli and translates this to a patchwork of text.

HUBS Immersive Festival is ‘a very human art experience’, bringing together art, installations, theater and dance performances. The festival takes place in ‘De Nieuwe Regentes’ in The Hague, a former public pool / bath house. Similar as at the festival itself, the visual identity is a system where the visitor and the art interact with each other. They are constantly reshaping, seeking a new balance, by creating new compositions and shapes with typography and images.

Renée Hilhorst lives in a flat in the West-Side of Amsterdam. In the beginning she felt uncomfortable living closely to others, even though one of the main goals of a flat is to create more social cohesion. She was curious to find out who her neighbours were, and by entering her neighbours' living rooms she searches for the creation of mutual sympathy and trust.
